Green had a 44-yard touchdown catch during that national title game in which South Dakota State earned a 45-21 victory. Green said he started to build a rapport with Miller near the end of last season. Senior receiver Zach Mathis leads the Bison with 37 receptions for 546 yards and five touchdowns. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Green ranks second on the team with 22 catches for 375 yards, averaging 17 yards per reception.
“We know that there’s no more second chances so we’re giving it all we got,' Green said.
